The starting point of this meditation is getting to a point of thoughtless awareness or peace of mind through your self realization (inner awakening). Q&A: Where is best for yoga & meditation in india?

Question by Call Me Stitch B1tch: Where is best for yoga & meditation in india?
My girlfriend & I are planning on spending our 30th birthdays in India on a yoga come meditation/spiritual retreat only I have no idea where to begin looking or where we should go.

We’re looking at February 2012 for 10-14 days. Some of that time would ideally be spent exploring and the rest relaxing.

Any recommendations for areas, locations, companies, agencies, people/places/companies to stay away from would be appreciated.

Don’t get taken in by the street dwellers. Go with someone legit like Chopra — he has tours and would be a good arranger.
