Ashtanga Yoga Asanas by Spyros Kapnias – Garudananda – Zakynthos Greece 2008
www.iyogaclub.com The Ashtanga Yoga is an ancient system that was taught by the wise man Vamana Rishi in Yoga Korunta, one ancient scripture that contained lists of many different series of asanas (poses), as well as the teachings of vinyasa (breath and movement), drishti (concentration of look), bandhas (lockings in the body), mudras (positions of hands or look) and the philosophy of yoga. Sri T. Krishnamacharya discovered the text of Yoga Korunta at the beginning of the 20th century and it later passed to Pattabhi Jois during his studies with Krishnamacharya that began in 1927.
